Shady Grove - This is an extra track. The only thing it has in common with the Orchestra songs is that it was done in the same summer. I think it was Nathan's idea to take a sound system and a generator down to the abandoned amusement park at Lake Ponchartrain for a July 4th party. A lot of people went swimming that day but I stayed onshore with a girl who told me she'd seen human turds floating in that part of the lake just the year before. Others who stayed on dry land played music. This is who I remember: Burkie on guitar, Amanda on banjo, Happy Burbeck on a whistle thing, Ethan Clarke on tin whistle maybe, Willie hit a box along to the rhythm and of course the bullfrogs.
